Evaluating machines (risk assessment)

Do the machines at a location comply with all safety requirements? Are the relevant norms and other conditions being satisfied? Are there risks which require action? Must or should older machines be brought up to the latest safety standards? What should be taken into account from a machine safety perspective if present machines should be modified or if several machines should be linked together into a new unit or plant?

These and other questions can be answered as part of an evaluation of current, i.e. machines that are now in operation in the context of a risk assessment. Our experts check these machines, plants, and production lines based on a previously agreed upon priority list or checklist. In such cases they follow the procedure set out in ISO 12100:2010 which acts as a worldwide basis for respective national standards for new machines. if adjustments are required then specific recommendations are issued. The results of the check are documented.
